Presented is a very scarce New York Yankees World Championship pendant issued to celebrate the organizations 1996 World Series Championship over the Atlanta Braves. Presented to Rick Tomlin, who was a coach in the Yankees' minor league system, this was produced exclusively for players’ wives and female staff members, the 1 x 3/4-inch 14K gold pendant features twenty-three small diamonds within the team’s interlocking “NY” logo, all set on top of a blue stone. The phrase “1996 WORLD CHAMPIONS” appears in raised relief along the perimeter, and "14KR" is engraved on the reverse. This was the first Yankee World Series title in 12 years and was the beginning of the latest Yankee dynasty. Tremendous item, much rarer than the team issued rings, which remains in Near Mint condition.
