The second phase of Michael Jordan's career saw the Bulls superstar continue to dominate the NBA. 1997-1998 was Jordan's last season with the Bulls and he made it count: an average of 28.7 points per game, NBA All-Star First Team honors and the last of his five NBA MVP Awards were among his many achievements that season. In addition, Jordan led the Bulls to another NBA Championship, where his 2-point jump shot with five seconds left struck a dagger into the heart of the Utah Jazz. It was the second run of three consecutive championships by the Bulls and Michael Jordan's crowning moment. Jordan would retire again for the second time, playing his last season for the Bulls before coming out of retirement in 2001 for the Washington Wizards.

This timeless home white Chicago Bulls jersey was worn by the greatest basketball player of all-time during his last, triumphant season with Chicago. This jersey was first worn during the Bulls March 10th, 1998 home victory over the Miami Heat. Jordan led all scorers with 37 points, adding four rebounds and four assists, in Chicago’s 106-91 victory. This jersey has also been photo matched to the Bulls 88-72 throttling of the New Jersey Nets on March 16th. Jordan scored 17 points in this game, collecting seven rebounds in a strong defensive performance.

Having been photo matched to these two games, this jersey features “BULLS” sewn across the chest in red-on-black tackle twill. Jordan’s iconic number “23” is sewn on the front and back of the jersey in red-on-black tackle twill. “JORDAN” is sewn across the back shoulders in red-on-black tackle twill. A NBA logo patch is sewn on the left breast of the jersey. Red, black, and white bands ring the sleeve openings and the collar. A Nike size “50” tag, flanked by “NBA Authentics” and “Chicago Bulls” tags, are sewn on the front bottom left portion of the jersey. The Nike tag has a “LENGTH +4” flag attached. On the inside of the jersey adjacent to the wash tag is a “NIKE 1997-98” tag. Jordan has signed his name in black marker diagonally on the “2” on the back of the jersey. This jersey shows light game use and comes with a LOA from The MeiGray Group (153332) and a LOA from the Chicago Bulls for the game use. MeiGray has photo matched this jersey to the March 10th, 1998 victory over the Miami Heat and the March 16th, 1998 victory over the New Jersey Nets, both held at the United Center in Chicago, making this an extremely rare two-game photo matched Michael Jordan gamer. There is also an Upper Deck hologram (BAM00008) on the number “2” on the back of the jersey for his signature.
