The 1997 Major League Baseball All-Star Game – played in Cleveland – featured a grouping of some of the sport’s all-time great pitchers, including Randy Johnson, Roger Clemens, Greg Maddux and Pedro Martinez. Not surprisingly, the game was a pitching duel, with the score tied at 1-1 in the bottom of the 7th inning. Hometown hero Sandy Alomar of the Indians hit a two-out, two-run homer to put the American League ahead 3-1 over the National League, and that would be the final score of the contest. Alomar was named the game’s Most Valuable Player.

Offered here is a Jostens 1997 Major League Baseball American League All-Star Game ring presented to Willie Randolph, featuring a round CZ set on an image of the MLB logo on the ring’s face. “1997 BASEBALL ALL STAR” reads in relief work. One side of the ring displays the American League logo above images of five stars, while the opposite side shows the 1997 MLB All-Star Game logo above an additional group of stars.  The inside of the band, which shows wear, is marked “AST©JOSTENS”. This item is an approximate size 10 and weighs approximately 22.3 grams. This ring derives from the personal collection of Willie Randolph and a signed LOA from Randolph will accompany this ring.
