Do you want a bat that clearly displays how tremendous a hitter Tony Gwynn was in his prime? Then this is the bat you need. Used during the 1997 season in which the Padres legend hit a soaring .372 and won the last of his 8 batting championships. Gwynn’s Louisville Slugger B267 model bat shows awesome game use with a broken handle. The barrel is literally covered with ball marks that include stitch impressions, ink transfers and leather scuffs. You can tell this was a favorite stick of Gwynn’s, retired only after he handle gave way from so many mighty blasts. The handle has a heavy coat of pine tar and has a spiral of tape to enhance the grip. Gwynn has completed this museum-ready gamer with a bold black signature on the barrel. A spectacular Gwynn gamer that demonstrates why he was the greatest NL hitter in the post-modern era. This bat comes with a LOA from the San Diego Padres, who confirms that Gwynn used this bat and a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B18236), who confirms that this bat was ordered for Gwynn.
