Presented is a very scarce New York Yankees World Championship pendant issued to celebrate the organizations 1998 World Series Championship over the San Diego Padres. Presented to Rick Tomlin, who was the pitching coach for the Yankees' then AA Norwich Navigators minor league team. This was produced exclusively for players’ wives and female staff members, the 1-inch diameter Balfour 14K gold pendant features 24 small diamonds within the team’s interlocking “NY” logo, all set on top of a blue stone. The phrase “19 WORLD 98 CHAMPIONS” appears in raised relief along the perimeter, and "14KR" is engraved on the reverse. This was the second Yankee World Series title in three years and was a continuation of the latest Yankee dynasty. A tremendous item, much rarer than the team issued rings, which remains in Near Mint condition.
