1999 marked the first time since 1981 that Cal Ripken, Jr. appeared in less than 112 games. Still, the Hall of Famer made his 86 games count, hitting a mercurial .340 with 27 home runs. Coming directly from the personal collection of baseball’s Iron Man, Cal’s 1999 game used Louisville Slugger S188 model bat shows outstanding game use with a slight crack in the handle. There are many ball marks and scuffs on the barrel and a moderate coat of pine tar still clings to the handle. About as good a Ripken gamer as you will find and Cal has signed this bat in bold blue marker on the barrel. This bat comes directly from the personal collection of Cal Ripken, Jr. and a signed LOA from Cal will accompany this bat. Additionally, there is a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B19731) for the game use and has been given the highest possible grade of GU 10.
