United States midfield star Michelle Akers was issued this white United States Women’s National Soccer Team jersey during a friendly match against a FIFA Women’s World Stars team at Spartan Stadium in San Jose, California. The draw for the 1999 FIFA Women’s World Cup was held at halftime of this game, a 2-1 win for the World XI. The United States would go on to win the World Cup in historic fashion, defeating China after a penalty shootout to claim their second FIFA Women’s World Cup title.

This offered United States home jersey is white, with a USA crest sewn on the left chest and Akers’ number “10” applied to the chest and back in navy and red. “AKERS” is applied to the back shoulders in navy. A FIFA Fair Play patch is sewn on the left sleeve. This jersey has a star sewn on the right sleeve and a Nike swoosh sewn on the right chest. Embroidered below the Nike swoosh is “FIFA World Stars v USA National Team San Jose 14 February 1999”. Akers has signed the chest of this size “L” Nike jersey in black marker, inscribing “99 WC Final Draw Event”. This jersey comes with a LOA from Michelle Akers.  A portion of the proceeds shall benefit the Michelle Akers Horse Rescue & Outreach Inc.
