Run by Major League Baseball in 1999 and sponsored by Century 21, all but 10 teams participated in a “Turn Ahead the Clock” jersey promotion that featured “futuristic” type uniforms. On September 10, 1999, the Cleveland Indians visited the Chicago White Sox as shortstop Omar Vizquel of the Indians wore this authentic Russell Athletic Diamond Collection, size 44 knit jersey. This is a navy blue pullover jersey with a grey collar and shortened grey sleeves. The “INDIANS” script is in big red letters with white outline that runs diagonally on the front and reads “INDIA” with the “a” being cut off. Vizquel’s number “13” is sewn in silver tackle twill on the left of the back, while the “VIZQUEL” runs vertically along the right of the “13”. This item comes with a full letter of authenticity from noted game used expert Dave Miedema and a COA from a Cleveland Indians charity auction.
