Played in Atlanta’s Turner Field on July 11th, the American League topped the National League, 6-3, in the 2000 Major League Baseball All-Star Game. Derek Jeter, who went 3-for-3 with a double and two RBIs, was named the game’s Most Valuable Player. Chipper Jones matched Jeter’s 3-for-3 outing, while also hitting the only home run in the contest.
