Hall of Fame first baseman Willie McCovey wore this white San Francisco Giants home jersey during an Old Timers Game event at Pacific Bell Park in 2000. McCovey, whose name graces the section of the San Francisco Bay beyond the right field wall of the stadium, played for the Giants from 1959 to 1973, and again from 1977 to 1980. McCovey won three National League home run titles and the 1969 NL MVP award while playing for the Giants. He hit 521 home runs in his career and was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1986.

This cream-colored button-down jersey has “GIANTS” sewn across the chest in black, orange, and gold tackle twill. McCovey’s number “44”, which has been retired by the Giants, is sewn on the back in black, orange, and gold tackle twill. A Pacific Bell Park inaugural season patch is sewn on the left sleeve. McCovey has signed this name across the back shoulders in black marker. His signature is especially large and occupies the area that a player’s last name would normally appear. This jersey shows light wear and comes with a COA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication (D84637) for the signature and a LOA from noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema for use.
