The legendary Michael Jordan wore this pair of Air Jordan XVII Low sneakers during the 2001-02 NBA season. Jordan, in his first of two seasons with the Washington Wizards, led the team in scoring at a 22.9 points per game clip. The Greatest of All-Time added 5.7 rebounds and 5.2 assists per game in his first season back from a three-year retirement.

Jordan played one final season with the Wizards before retiring. In 2009, MJ was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. These offered Air Jordan XVII Low sneakers are white, with blue and silver accents and a blue insert in the shoes. The Jumpman logo is in silver on the blue portion of the heels. The sneakers are a size 13 ½ and Jordan has signed each of the shoes on the outside in black marker while inscribing on each “Best Wishes”.

These sneakers display moderate wear and were given to the late referee Hue Hollins by Michael Jordan to donate to a charity organization as described in the notarized letter of authenticity that accompany these sneakers dated October 21, 2002. There are two LOAs from PSA/DNA (U14806 & U14807) that authenticate Jordan’s signature on each shoe.
