Barry Bonds used this Sam Bat offered here during his 2002 MVP season and when it was used to hit his 569th, 570th and 571st career home runs. Bonds’ 2nd, 3rd and 4th home runs of the 2002 season came off of Omar Daal, Hideo Nomo and Terry Mulholland of the Los Angeles Dodgers during the April 2nd and 3rd games. This bat has been photo matched to those two games by Elite Sports Photo Matching. Bonds hit two of those home runs in the April 3rd game in the Giants 12-0 win and the other home run April 2nd game in San Francisco’s 9-2 victory. Bonds’ amazing career-high .370 combined with a monstrous 1.381 OPS propelled the Giants all the way to the World Series.

This SAM Bonds 2K1 model bat is un-cracked, showing excellent use. The barrel has ball marks along with white leather ball scuffs and ink transfers, along with an impression of a weighted donut. The knob has been taped in a spiral pattern in both black and white tape to enhance the grip. The top barrel has the length “34,” weight “32 oz,” date “03 14 02,” model “2K1” and Bonds’ initials “B.B.” written on the barrel end in black marker. The slugger has also signed the barrel in silver marker, inscribing “4-2-02 #569” and “4-3-02 #570-571” making this a complete Barry Bonds gamer. The bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B17960) for the game use, who have attributed this bat to Bonds' 569th, 570th and 571st career home runs and have given this bat its highest possible grade of GU 10. Additionally, there is a LOA from Barry Bonds attesting that he used this bat for the three home runs and signed this bat and an LOA from Elite Sports Photo Matching.
