LeBron James was the most celebrated high school basketball prospect in history, a preternaturally talented man-child who was expected to dominate professional players as soon as he hit the court. Somehow, LeBron has exceeded the wild expectations originally heaped upon him, winning four NBA Finals and five NBA MVP awards in the first 17 seasons of his career.

LeBron played his high school basketball at St. Vincent-St. Mary in Akron, Ohio where he led the Fighting Irish to three Division III state titles in his four seasons, losing in the state finals in his junior season. So popular were LeBron and his Fighting Irish team, some of their home games were played at nearby University of Akron’s 5,492- seat Rhodes Arena to accommodate the demand for tickets.

Celebrating the popularity and success of that historical team, this offered One-of-a-kind fiberglass horse, that measures over 4 ½ feet at its tallest and is 3 ½ feet long, was crafted and 15 signatures from the St. Vincent-St. Mary Fighting Irish state championship squads. This impressive horse has been signed by members of the squad, including LeBron James’ signature just above the right-front leg and below an image of King James getting ready to throw down a monster dunk. The horse has been painted using the color scheme of the St. Vincent-St. Mary colors – green, gold and white. There are several images attached highlighting various players, with newspaper headline clippings worked in and a basketball has been painted on the back to look like a saddle. “ST VINCENT ST MARY” is painted in green and gold on the upper right side, “3 TIME STATE” is painted in green and gold on the horse’s rear and “CHAMPS” is painted in gold below. “FIGHTING IRISH” is painted in gold and green on the horse’s back on the basketball-painted saddle. There are 16 signatures total with notable signatures that include coach Dru Joyce, Jr., who is still coaching St. Vincent-St. Mary and Willie McGee, who was one of LeBron’s “5 Horsemen” and is currently the Athletic Director at the school.

Also included with this lot is a 15 x 22 frame with two photographs. One is showing LeBron signing the horse above the right-front leg and the other photograph shows this horse with LeBron and the rest of his teammates that signed it. A wonderful piece of LeBron James memorabilia dating back to his high school days. This item comes with a LOA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication for the signatures.

Please note that due to the size and weight of this item, shipping costs will be higher.

The Seller will be donating a portion of the winning bid price to both Akron Children's Hospital and the Lebron James' I Promise School.
