Hall of Fame shortstop Barry Larkin was winding down his 19-year career in 2003 when he wore this Cincinnati Reds home jersey vest and pants to hit his 190th career home run August 1st, 2003 and has been photo matched. Larkin’s home run came off San Francisco Giants pitcher Jerome Williams in the bottom of the fourth inning.

Larkin’s size 46 jersey vest was manufactured by Russell Athletic and this button-down jersey is white with red pinstripes. The Reds wishbone “C” logo is sewn on the upper left chest in red, black and white tackle twill. Larkin’s number “11” is sewn on in the same colors on the upper right side. The back of the jersey has “LARKIN” and his number “11” sewn on in red, white and black tackle twill, with the MLB logo patch sewn on the upper back neck. The jersey comes with a red Russell Athletic size XL undershirt that has the “2003 INAUGURAL SEASON” patch on the left sleeve for The Great American Ball Park.

The Russell Athletic tag and size 46 flag are sewn on the bottom left front tail of the jersey and the Reds team patch that reads “PROPERTY OF CINCINNATI REDS-03” is sewn below. Larkin has signed his name in blue marker below the Reds logo on the front and inscribed “GAME USED ‘03”. Also included in this lot are a pair game used Reds game pants. These pants were manufactured by Russell athletic and are white with red pinstripes. These pants show light game use. The jersey has been photo matched to the August 1st, 2003 game by Resolution Photomatching and have provided a LOA. There is also a LOA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication for Larkin’s signature.
