After a series of injuries decimated the team’s catching corps, the New York Mets called up Jose Reyes from Norfolk. In 69 games, the rookie batted north of .300 including a grand slam home run, all before he turned 20. Reyes provided a taste of things to come with a .307 batting average and 13 stolen bases. Reyes wore this Majestic button-down home Mets’ white with blue pinstripes jersey during his debut 2003 season. This jersey features “Mets” and Reyes” number “7” sewn on in blue, orange and black tackle twill on the front. The Majestic tag with “44” and “set 1 2003” flags are sewn on the inside front left tail. The back of the jersey has “REYES” and “7” sewn on in blue, orange and black tackle twill, with the MLB logo patch sewn on the upper back neck in Mets’ colors. The left sleeve has the Mets circular skyline logo patch and this jersey displays light use. This jersey comes with a LOA from 100% Authentic for the game use.
