Los Angeles Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant was issued this purple Lakers road jersey during the 2005-06 NBA season. Bryant turned in the highest scoring output of his career in 2005-06, leading the NBA with an astonishing 35.4 points per game. On January 22nd, 2006, Bryant turned in the greatest single-game performance of his career, scoring 81 points against a paralyzed Toronto Raptors defense. Bryant, the 13th pick of the 1996 NBA Draft out of Lower Merion High School, was named to the All-NBA First Team and the All-NBA Defensive First Team in 2005-06. The peerless swingman played until the end of the 2015-16 season, scoring 60 points against the Utah Jazz in a final game for the ages.

This purple road jersey has “LAKERS” sewn across the chest in yellow and white tackle twill. Bryant’s number “8”, which the Lakers have retired alongside Bryant’s other number, “24”, is sewn on the chest and back of the jersey in white and yellow tackle twill. 2005-06 was Bryant’s final season wearing the number “8”, as he switched to “24” in advance of the 2006-07 season. “BRYANT” is sewn across the back shoulders of this jersey in yellow and white tackle twill. An NBA logo patch is sewn on the chest of this Reebok jersey. The sides are made of purple panels with white accents. A Reebok tag with attached size “56”, “LENGTH +4”, and “2005-2006” flags is sewn on the front left tail. Bryant has signed the “8” digit on the back of the jersey in black marker. This jersey comes with a LOA from the Los Angeles Lakers for Bryant’s signature and a LOA from Sports Investors Authentication (200407D1) for the game issue.
