A fixture at shortstop for the New York Yankees for two decades and an entry into the 2020 Hall of Fame class, Derek Jeter put together one of his finest seasons in 2006. The Captain collected 214 hits for a .343 BA, scored 118 runs while driving in 97, hit 14 home runs and stole a career-high 34 stolen bases en route to his first silver slugger award, 3rd gold glove, and a tightly contested second place finish in the AL MVP race.

Jeter wore this all-navy button-down New York Yankees batting practice jersey for the final time on April 27th of the 2006 season against Tampa Bay at Yankee Stadium. This size 48 jersey was made by Majestic and features the Yankees classic interlocking “NY” sewn on the upper chest in white tackle twill. The Majestic tag is screen-printed on the bottom front left tail and a 48 flag is sewn on the adjacent seam. The back of the jersey has Jeter’s retired number “2” sewn on in white tackle twill. This jersey displays light use and comes with an MLB Authenticated hologram (BB077059) authenticating that Jeter used this as a batting practice jersey on April 27, 2006 and a STICKER ONLY from Steiner Sports. Please note that there are no LOAs or COAs that will accompany this jersey, only the stickers that are attached to the jersey.
