Detroit Tigers slugger Gary Sheffield wore this Tigers home jersey on July 5th, 2007 against the Cleveland Indians at Comerica Park. Sheffield powered Detroit to a 12-3 victory, hitting one of three Tigers homers off Cleveland starter C.C. Sabathia. Sheffield’s homer, a two-run dinger in the fourth inning was his 20th of the season and the 475th of his career, tying the 1992 National League batting champ with Stan “The Man” Musial and Willie Stargell on the MLB all-time home run list. Sheffield finished the season with 25 homers, 75 RBI, a .265 batting average, and 22 stolen bases for the 88-74 Tigers.
