Willie Randolph was a standout player for the New York Yankees. A member of the 1977 and 1978 World Series-winning teams, Randolph was a steady presence at second base and at the plate. Randolph finished his career with 2,210 hits. Throughout his distinguished career, Randolph received many awards and in 2007, Randolph was presented with The Boy of Steel Babe Ruth Award. This award has a 12 x 15-inch wood rounded base and a black metal plate that has printed in gold “THE BOY OF STEEL BABE RUTH AWARD PRESENTED TO WILLIE RANDOLPH – WHO THROUGH THE WILLIE RANDOLPH FOUNDATION SAVED THE EXISTENCE OF THE EAST HARLEM LITTLE LEAGUE WITH A DONATION THAT KEPT 350 KIDS OFF THE NEW YORK CITY STREETS 2007”. This award comes from the collection of Willie Randolph and a signed LOA from Randolph will also accompany this item.
