The original Yankee Stadium saw its last game ever played on September 21st, 2008 when the Yankees hosted the Baltimore Orioles. The historic venue, dubbed “The House That Ruth Built” originally opened on April 18th, 1923, was completely renovated following the 1973 season and re-opened for the start of the 1976 season. 26 of the 27 World Series titles were won by the Yankees while occupying the old Yankee Stadium, along with 39 American League pennants.
This offered Louisville Slugger C271 model bat was used by Alex Rodriguez during the final game ever played at Yankee Stadium on September 21st, 2008. This bat displays outstanding game use and is un-cracked. There are numerous ball marks, stitch impressions, white leather scuffs and cleat imprints on the barrel. There are several heavy imprints on the barrel. The lower handle has a coating of pine tar and the top barrel has paint that chipped off and Rodriguez has signed his name in silver marker on the barrel inscribing “game used vs Baltimore At Yankee Stadium The Final Game Ever”. A great Alex Rodriguez gamer from a historic event and it comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B17082) for the game use and has been graded a perfect GU 10 and a LOA from Alex Rodriguez. Additionally, there is a STICKER ONLY from JSA (B85113) for the signature.
