Presented is a lineup card from the Chicago White Sox as the visiting club for a September 23, 2008 game in which Ken Griffey Jr. hit his 610th career home run to pass Sammy Sosa on Major League Baseball’s All-Time HR list, signed by White Sox manager Ozzie Guillen in blue pen. Griffey is listed as batting sixth in the typeset lineup in red. The 5 x 7¾-inch blue paper card has typed inscriptions in black, red and green on the card which is headlined “SOX Official Batting Order (Visiting Club)”. The Chicago White Sox lost to the Minnesota Twins, 9-3, on September 23, 2008 at the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome in Minneapolis. Griffey hit his 17th homer of the 2008 season in the top of the ninth inning with one man on and two outs. The Hall of Fame outfielder retired in 2010 with 630 career home runs, currently seventh all-time in MLB history. This item comes with a COA from JSA (GG51018).
