On June 6th, 2009, Alex Rodriguez hit his eighth home run of the season and 561st of his career when he connected off of Tampa Bay Rays’ pitcher David Price in the second inning. Rodriguez’s home run was a solo shot to center field that gave the Yankees an early 1-0 lead. This is the very bat A-Rod used to hit his 561st career homer.

The Louisville Slugger C271L model bat is un-cracked and displays heavy use. Slight checking from repeated ball contact is found on the left and back barrel along with many ball marks with stitch impressions. Blue ink transfers and white leather ball scuffs are present as are cleat imprints and the impression of a weighted batting donut. A moderate coat of Mota Stick is on the handle and the bat’s specs are stamped into the knob. A-Rod has signed the barrel in silver, inscribing, “Game Used 6/6/09 Career HR #561 vs Rays.” This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B01226) for the game use and has been graded a perfect GU 10 and LOA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication for the signature.
