This Nokoma Pro Maple bat was broken in two pieces by David Ortiz during the second inning of the August 24th, 2009 game at Fenway Park against the Chicago White Sox. The bat shows great game use and several chips are missing from the cracked area. A heavy coat of pine tar is found on the handle and the bat’s specs have been hand written on the knob end in black marker. This bat has also been photo matched to the August 22nd game where the Red Sox defeated the Yankees 14-1 at Fenway. Ortiz had two hits in that game, including a home run. This bat comes with an MLB Authenticated hologram (LH 604471) for the game use to the specific August 24th game and has been photo matched by Resolution Photomatching to the August 22 and August 24th games.
