With the scored tied at one apiece in the top of the third inning during the July 6th, 2010 game between the Yankees and the Oakland Athletics, Alex Rodriguez stepped up to the plate with the bases full of Yankees. Rodriguez, with the count in his favor at 3-1, connected on a deep shot to left center field, clearing the wall by a healthy margin for his 596th career home run and 13th home run of the season. It also was the third grand slam of the 2010 season and 21st career grand slam of his storied career.
