It was Memorial Day, 2010 at Yankee Stadium. The Indians were in town battling the Yankees. With the score 2-1 Yanks, New York loaded the bases against Mitch Talbot and then Rafael Perez. Cleveland brought in Chris Perez to pitch to Alex Rodriguez, and the Yankees star responded by hitting a grand slam, putting New York up for good, 6-1. The shot was A-Rod’s 590th, a milestone as he edged closer to the exclusive 600 mark. Used by A-Rod to hit number 590, the Louisville Slugger C271L model bat in un-cracked and shows outstanding use with many ball marks and white leather scuffs on the barrel. The handle has a coat of pine tar and the bat’s specs are stamped into the knob. Rodriguez has signed the bat and inscribed, “Game Used 5-31-10 Career HR #590 Memorial Day” in silver marker. This bat comes with MLB Authenticated hologram (LH882890) for the game use and a LOA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication for the signature.
