Former New York Yankees slugger Alex Rodriguez wore this offered road jersey for his 596th and 597th home runs of his Major League career on July 6th, 2010 against the Oakland Athletics at Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum. Rodriguez came to bat in the top of the third inning with the bases juiced against A’s starter Trevor Cahill. Sitting pretty on a 3-1 count, Rodriguez crushed Cahill’s fifth offering of the at-bat to deep left center for the 21st of his MLB-record 25 career grand slams. The day was far from over for the former Mariner and Ranger, as Rodriguez added a solo home run in the top of the sixth inning to cement the Yankees 6-1 victory over Oakland.

This offered jersey is a gray button-down with “NEW YORK” sewn across the chest in navy and white tackle twill. Rodriguez’s number “13” is sewn on the back of the jersey in the same navy and white fashion. The sleeves are capped with an expandable navy/white/navy striping pattern and an MLB logo patch is sewn on the back outside collar. A Majestic tag is sewn on the front left tail with numerous flags attached that include “2010”, size “48”, “Taper” (faded), and “+1[inch] body”. There is a large dirt stain across right-center chest and Rodriguez has signed his name in blue marker below the “YORK” and inscribed “HR #596, 597 7/6/10 vs. Oakland”. This jersey comes with a LOA from Alex Rodriguez signed by AROD attesting that this jersey was worn when he hit home runs 596 and 597. There is an MLB hologram (LH930166) authenticating AROD’s use of this jersey on July 6th, 2010 for home runs 596 and 597 and a LOA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication (A60880) for his signature and inscriptions.
