It was Memorial Day, 2010 at Yankee Stadium. The Indians were in town battling the Yankees. With the score 2-1 Yanks, New York loaded the bases against Mitch Talbot and then Rafael Perez. Cleveland brought in Chris Perez to pitch to Alex Rodriguez, and the Yankees star responded by hitting a grand slam, putting New York up for good, 6-1. The shot was A-Rod’s 590th, a milestone as he edged closer to the exclusive 600 mark and was his 20th career grand slam. Rodriguez wore this special white and navy Memorial Day New York Yankees cap during this game. This size 7 ¼ New Era 59Fifty hat has a white crown with a navy brim. The interlocking “NY” logo is embroidered in an American flag pattern and the MLB logo patch is sewn on the back, also in an American flag pattern. The underside of the brim has Rodriguez’s number “13” handwritten in silver marker and AROD has signed his name in silver marker on the bill of the cap and inscribed “HR #590”. This hat displays moderate game use with some dirt stains on the back of the crown. This cap comes with an MLB Authenticated hologram (LH882886) for the game use and a LOA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication for the signature.
