Throughout the 1990’s and 2000’s, Chipper Jones was among the best third baseman in baseball, a perennial All-Star who could hit for both power and average. In 2018, Jones was honored with induction into the National Baseball Hall of Fame, finding a spot in Cooperstown on his first ballot. The Atlanta Braves superstar compiled a .303 batting average for his career while crushing 468 home runs. Jones led the Braves to a World Series title in 1995, and claimed the 1999 National League MVP Award with a Triple Crown slash of .319/45/110. Jones, the 2008 National League batting champ, retired after the 2012 MLB season.

In 2011, Jones was elected to the seventh of his eight career All-Star Games. Unfortunately for Jones, surgery to fix a torn meniscus in his knee prevented him from donning this All-Star batting practice jersey. The jersey is a black and red button down, with tan underarms. “National” is sewn across the chest in tan, black, and red tackle twill. The tan tackle twill features a snakeskin pattern, as the 2011 All-Star Game was held at Chase Field, the home of the Arizona Diamondbacks. “JONES” is sewn across the back shoulders in red tackle twill. His number “10” is sewn on the back in similarly patterned tan and red tackle twill. A MLB logo patch is sewn on the back outside collar. A 2011 All-Star Game patch is sewn on the left sleeve and a Braves patch is sewn on the right. A Majestic All-Star Game tag is sewn on the front left tail, and size “48” and “COOL BASE” flags are sewn on the left side. Jones has signed the “1” digit on the back of the jersey in black marker. This jersey comes with a LOA from JSA for the signature, and a LOA from noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema for its game issued status.
