On July 9, 2011, Derek Jeter joined the exclusive 3,000 Hit Club when he homered off Tampa Ba Rays pitcher David Price in the bottom of the third inning at Yankee Stadium. Jeter became the second player to reach the 3,000-hit plateau with a home run, joining fellow Hall of Famer Wade Boggs, who got his milestone hit with Tampa Bay in 1999.

This offered third base was used during the July 9, 2011 game in the eighth inning. This white base shows moderate game use with some light dirt stains. There are panels on each side, with two sides have a dark blue “New York Yankees” with the interlocking “NY” logos on each side and white with pinstripes panels with “New York Yankees” and the interlocking “NY” logos. Jeter signed his name in black marker on the top center left of the base and inscribed “3000th hit 7-9-11” on the right center front. This comes with an MLB Authenticated hologram (FJ493989), authenticating that this base was used during the eighth inning of the July 9, 2011 game and that Jeter signed and inscribed this base. Additionally, there is a LOA from Steiner Sports (182584).
