In 2011, the Brazilian National Soccer Team defeated Argentina 2-0 over two legs to claim the inaugural Superclassic of the Americas title. The first leg, played at the Estadio Mario Alberto Kempes in Argentina, finished as a 0-0 draw before returning to Belem’s Estadio Olimpico do Para for the Brazilian leg of the tournament. Brazil, drawing on their considerable homefield advantage, grabbed a pair of second half goals from the young attackers Lucas Moura and Neymar to claim the first Superclassic trophy. The Superclassic is the spiritual successor of the famous Copa Roca, which served as Brazil’s first international trophy in 1914.  This offered medal reads “Brazil x Argentina Superclasico de las Americas 2011” and “Argentina x Brasil Superclassico das Americas 2011” around the border. Etched in high relief on the back of the medal is the CSF logo. This is a historic medal from one of South America’s oldest soccer rivalries! It comes with a Team Technical Coordinator LOA.
