San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick was issued this scarlet 49ers home jersey in advance of Super Bowl XLVII against the Baltimore Ravens at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome on February 3rd, 2013. Kaepernick, in his first season starting for the 49ers, played an electric football game in the Super Bowl, passing for 302 yards and a touchdown while rushing for 62 yards and an additional touchdown in Baltimore’s 34-31 victory. One of the most accurate quarterbacks in NFL history, Kaepernick started seven games during the regular season, passing for 1,814 yards and ten touchdowns against only three interceptions. “Kaep” did it on the ground as well, rushing for 415 yards and five touchdowns in the regular season.
This offered game issued 49ers jersey is scarlet, with Kaepernick’s number “7” sewn on the chest, back, and shoulders in white tackle twill. A Super Bowl XLVII patch is applied to the left chest. “KAEPERNICK” is sewn across the back shoulders in white tackle twill over a matching scarlet nameplate. A white Nike swoosh is sewn on both sleeves, while a “49ers” wordmark and a NFL logo patch are sewn on the chest. A Nike size “42 LINE” tag with an attached “2012” flag is sewn on the back inside collar. Kaepernick has signed the chest of the jersey in black marker. The jersey comes with a Tristar hologram (527116) authenticating Kaepernick’s autograph, while a LOA from MEARS grades the jersey an A5.
