Born and raised in Baltimore, LaQuan Williams attended the University of Maryland and signed with the Ravens as a free agent in 2011, quickly making an impact for receiving, special teams and kick returns. The 2012 championship run saw Williams make several key special-team tackles. His 10K-white-gold, size 14 ring—identical to those of John Harbaugh, Ray Lewis and Joe Flacco—is one of the flashiest showpieces produced for any pro sport, with 245 diamonds (3.75 carats) plus purple amethyst, yellow gold and red enamel. (Not to mention the fact that at size 14, it has an even more colossal surface area than those examples made for smaller hands.) Indeed, an accompanying 2013 Jostens COA gives an "Estimated Insurance Replacement Value" of the raw materials alone at over $23,000! The jaw-dropping, glittering dazzler rates NM and, even beyond its elaborate shank designs, delivers additional season information and imagery engraved inside the band. A 5" x 6" x 4" sleek black presentation box (one loose hinge) features a recessed Ravens logo on the lid's top, along with a frosted-mirror design of the Ravens shield and "LaQuan Williams" on the lid's underside. As a point of reference on value, it's important to note that we have previously auctioned the 2012 Ravens Super Bowl rings of running backs Damien Berry and Jamal Lewis for $43,000 and $50,000 respectively.
