Harper, a 19-year old rookie in 2012, was selected to his first career All-Star Game after making his debut on April 28th, 2012. For his rookie season, the Las Vegan hit 22 homers with 59 RBI, nine triples, and a .270 batting average for the Washington Nationals. Harper was named the 2012 National League Rookie of the Year for his troubles, beating out Wade Miley and Todd Frazier for the coveted silverware.
