Alex Rodriguez made history on September 20th, 2013 when he blasted his 24th career grand slam of San Francisco Giants pitcher George Kontos in the bottom of the seventh inning at Yankee Stadium. Rodriguez came into the game already tied with Lou Gehrig for the all-time lead in grand slams at 23 and his seventh inning blast right-center field put him in a class by himself. The home run, which broke a 1-1 tie and gave the Yankees the 5-1 victory, was also Rodriguez’s 654th career home run.

Rodriguez wore this very jersey and pants set during the September 20th, 2013 game in which AROD broke the grand slam record. This button-down home white jersey with pinstripes was manufactured by Majestic and is a size 48. The classic interlocking “NY” is sewn on in navy tackle twill on the upper left chest. The Majestic tag with the “2013” and “48” flags are sewn on the lower left front tail, along with an additional Yankees bar code tag that reads “0000003716”. This white with pinstripes pants have the Majestic tag screen-printed to the back waist with the identification that reads “#13 Rodriguez 35-42 34 OB C ‘13”. These pants display moderate to heavy use with some dirt stains on left leg. Rodriguez has signed these pants in black marker and inscribed “game used 9/20/13 Grand Slam Record breaking Career Grand Slam #24” These pants come with an MLB Authenticated hologram (EK800917) which authenticates that Rodriguez used these pants during the September 20th, 2013 game, plus a Steiner Sports hologram (200676).
