For Hall of Famer Derek Jeter, the 2013 was mired by lingering injuries that held the Captain only 17 games. However, during his second game of the 2013 season on July 28th, 2013 game, after appearing only before that on July 1st, Jeter connected for his only home run of the season on the first pitch he saw from Tampa Bay Rays pitcher Matt Moore. Jeter’s blast in the bottom of the first inning was the 256th of his storied career.

Presented here is the very New York Yankees home button-down pinstriped jersey worn by Jeter when he hit his only home run of the 2013 season. Jeter’s jersey was made by Majestic and has the famed interlocking “NY” sewn on the upper left chest in navy tackle twill. The back of the jersey has Jeter’s now retired number “2” sewn on the back in the same navy tackle twill. The front left tail has the Majestic tag with size “48” and year “2013” flags attached. A New York Yankees bar code tag (0000002759) is applied below. Jeter has signed this jersey in blue marker below the “NY” on the front and inscribed “13 Game Used”. This jersey comes with an MLB Authenticated hologram (EK689722), authenticating that Jeter wore this jersey during the July 28th, 2013 game, along with a LOA from Steiner Sports.
