When wide receiver Hakeem Nicks and his New York Giants teammates took the field Nov. 10, 2013 to face the Oakland Raiders, the game took on extra meaning. It was a “Salute to Service” contest, meaning the NFL would donate $100 for every point scored to each of its three primary military non-profit partners --- the Pat Tillman Foundation, USO and Wounded Warriors Project. Nicks did his part in this game-used blue Giants home jersey, catching four passes for 49 yards in New York’s 24-20 victory.
The fitted nylon spandex Nike jersey features “NICKS” across the back in white tackle twill on a blue name plate. Nicks’ number “88” appears on the chest, back and both shoulders in white tackle twill. A size 40 “Nike” manufacturer’s tag appears on the inside collar of the jersey along with a “2013” tag and serial number 2191100327G8. Nike logos are stitched on both shoulders, along with a stitched “NY” logo below the neck. The jersey shows moderate signs of game use, including heavy scuffing and staining on the chest, and comes with a PSA/DNA COA, verification number 2N00487.
