Colorado Rockies legend Vinny Castilla wore this gray Rockies road throwback jersey on April 16th, 2013 as the Rockies and New York Mets contested a double-header at Coors Field. The Rockies won both games, taking the first by an 8-4 score line and winning the second game 9-8 in 10 innings on a frigid spring day in Denver. Castilla wore this 1993 throwback jersey serving as a special assistant for the Rockies.
This offered Colorado throwback jersey has “ROCKIES” sewn on the chest in silver, purple, and white tackle twill. “CASTILLA” is sewn across the back shoulders of the jersey in purple and white tackle twill over a matching gray nameplate, while his number “9” is sewn on the back in the same fashion. A Rockies inaugural season patch is sewn on the right sleeve and a Rockies logo patch is sewn on the left sleeve. A Majestic tag with an attached size “48” flag is sewn on the front left tail. Castilla has signed the jersey twice, once on the back “9” in silver marker and once on the right sleeve in black marker. This jersey comes with an MLB Authenticated hologram (EK158662) for the game use and authentication from Beckett Authentication Services (A25449) for the signatures.
