Albert Almora used this bat during the 2014 season as he wound his way through the Chicago Cubs minor league system. Almora split the season between the Tennessee Smokies and Dayton Cubs, posting a .270 average and securing him a spot as one of the Cubs promising young stars to watch. This pre-rookie Victus AA6 model bat displays heavy use and has a crack on the handle. There are several ball marks, stitch impressions and cleat imprints on the barrel. There is a coating of pine tar on the on the lower barrel and the knob has a blue sticker with the Superman crest “ALBERT ALMORA” printed in red and white. Almora has signed the barrel in silver pen and has added “Game Used”. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B12160) for the game use and been graded a near-perfect GU 9. There is a COA from Beckett Authentication Services (F63885) for the signature.
