On April 18th, 2014, Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim slugger Albert Pujols hit the 497th home run of his career during an 11-6 victory over the Detroit Tigers. Pujols took a Luke Putkonen offering to deep left field in the top of the sixth inning, plating three runs. This was the fifth home run of the season for the prodigious slugger, who sits at 591 career home runs entering the 2017 MLB season. Pujols went 2-4 in this game, with his second hit coming on a double in the top of the 2nd inning. The future Hall of Famer finished the 2014 season with 28 home runs and 105 RBI. This Allan H.
