Kansas City Royals infielder Christian Colon wore these blue cleats and hand guard during the 2014 American League Wild Card Game. During the thrilling American League Wild Card Game against the Oakland Athletics, Colon, a pinch hitter for Terrence Gore in the 10th inning, hit an RBI single in the bottom of the 12th to tie the score at 8-all before scoring the game-winning run on Salvador Perez’s walk-off single.
This offered pair of Nike cleats are blue, with nine metal spikes on the bottom of each shoe. The size 10 ½ cleats have the Nike swoosh in white on both sides of each shoe. “HUARACHE” is in white on the top of the tongues. Colon has signed his name on each of these cleats in silver marker on the toes and inscribed “24” and “2014 WC game used GW Run!”. These cleats display moderate use and come with a LOA from Anderson Authentics (1520 & 1521) for the game use and signatures. Also included is a blue sliding hand guard that has Colon’s number “24” handwritten in black marker. The hand guard shows moderate game use with some dirt stains. Colon has signed his name in silver marker and inscribed “24” and “2014 WC game used GW Run!”. This hand guard comes with a LOA from Anderson Authentics (1519) for the use.
