He is the premiere power hitter in the game today, and one of the most imposing figures at the plate since the days of Dave Winfield, but with much more power than that Hall of Famer had. Entering the 2014 season Stanton had already slugged 117 home runs, and he was only 24 years old. As of this writing Stanton leads the National League in home runs and RBI, walks, OBP, SLG and OPS. Two of those league leading homers were clubbed on May 4, 2014, during a 5-4 Marlins win over the Los Angeles Dodgers. The bright orange button down jersey features “MARLINS” across the front, with the “Majestic Authentic Collection Size 50” patch, with “Cool Base” flag tag. Within the tail is an orange strip tag with “27 50 ’14 152” in black stitching. The reverse has his name “STANTON” across the back with his number “27” below, both stitched directly onto the jersey. Stanton jerseys do not come up for auction very often, and this is the first catalog auction jersey we have located, and it was worn during a two homer contest.
