San Francisco Giants third baseman Pablo Sandoval wore this button-down orange alternate jersey during the Giants 9-0 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers on September 12th, 2014. Sandoval recorded one hit in this game, a single off Carlos Frias to lead off the bottom of the third inning. Sandoval, currently in his second stint with the Giants, finished the 2014 season with 16 homers, 73 RBI, and a healthy .279 batting average. The Giants went on to win the 2014 World Series over the Kansas City Royals, with the clutch third baseman contributing a .366 batting average in 17 games during the 2014 Postseason.
This orange jersey has “Giants” sewn across the chest in black, white, and gold tackle twill. Sandoval’s number “48” is sewn on the chest and back in black, white, and gold tackle twill. A Giants “SF” logo patch and a Majestic logo are sewn on the left sleeve. A MLB logo is sewn on the back outside collar, while the right shoulder features a large pine tar stain. A Majestic size “52” tag is applied to the front left tail. Sandoval has signed the “8” digit on the back of the jersey in silver marker, inscribing “Game Used / 14 W.S. Champs / Kung Fu Panda” in addition to his signature. This jersey displays light game use and comes with a COA from PSA/DNA (Y61717) and a MLB Authenticated hologram (HZ 125437), which authenticates this jersey as “team issued”, a common designation for items collected near or past the end of the season. This jersey also comes with a LOA from noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema.
