Mookie Betts slugged his way to the 2018 American League MVP award, crushing 32 homers with 47 doubles and a .346 batting average, the highest in all of baseball for the World Series champion Boston Red Sox. Betts posted an outstanding bWAR of 10.9 while making his third straight All-Star team and claiming both a Silver Slugger and a Gold Glove for his play in right.

Offered in this lot is a Wilson A2000 glove used by Betts during Spring Training of 2015. 2015 was Betts’ sophomore and breakout year, with the Nashville native posting a Triple Crown slash line of .291/18/77 at the tender age of 22. Betts, one of the most consistent hitters in baseball, collected 42 doubles in 2015 to begin a still-ongoing streak of four seasons with 42 or more doubles.

This Wilson A2000 glove is constructed of black and red leather, with a pro style “I-Web” and a black and red Wilson tag sewn on the wrist. This is an infielders’ glove, as Betts came through the Red Sox minor league system as a second baseman rather than a rightfielder. “A2000” is embroidered in red on the back of the index finger and an MLB logo is sewn on the back of the pinky. A circular Wilson logo is sewn on both the back of the thumb and the web. “Mookie” is embroidered on the back of the thumb in black. Betts has signed the body of this glove in silver marker, inscribing “Rom 8:31” in addition to his signature. This glove comes with a JSA STICKER ONLY (U19933) and a LOA from PSA/DNA (1G00451) for the game use.
