Yoan Moncada was the Boston Red Sox top prospect in 2015 where he played 81 games for the Class A Greenville Drive of the South Atlantic League. Moncada finished the season with a .278 batting average, eight home runs and 38 RBI. Moncada would be the prize asset that Boston sent to the Chicago White Sox to acquire ace-lefty Chris Sale prior to the 2017 season. Moncada used this MaxBat I13 model bat during the 2015 minor league season. This bat displays outstanding game use and has a crack in the handle. There are ball marks, stitch impressions, blue ink transfers and white leather scuffs present on the barrel. There is a light coating of Mota stick on the handle and there is a mark on the handle that identifies the grain, which has been mandatory per Major League Baseball for all maple bats manufactured after 2009. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B16612) for the game use and has been graded a solid GU 8, plus a COA from JSA (DD03951) for the signature.
