Los Angeles Angels superstar centerfielder Mike Trout wore this red alternate jersey on August 15th, 2016. The Angels took on the Seattle Mariners at Angel Stadium of Anaheim that night, falling to their division rivals by a score of 3-2. Trout, the consensus best player in baseball, did what he could for the Angels, finishing the game 2-3 with his 23rd home run of the season, a solo shot of Felix Hernandez in the fifth inning. Trout, the 2016 American League MVP, added two walks and stole his 20th base of the season for the Angels. Trout also wore this jersey on the 11th of August, 2016, going 1-2 with a home run, walk, and RBI during the Angels road defeat to the Cleveland Indians. Trout's homer came against Cleveland's ace Corey Kluber, and was the 161st longball of his already legendary career. 

Trout finished the 2016 season with an incredible Triple Crown slash line of .315/29/100 while stealing 30 bases and leading all of baseball in on-base percentage (.441), runs (123), and walks (116). The New Jersey native ran away with his second American League MVP award while also making the fifth All-Star team of his career.
