2017 was a banner season for Jose Altuve of the Houston Astros. The diminutive second baseman was the American League MVP – in large part due to his league-leading .346 average and 204 hits as he led the Astros to an AL Best 101 victories. Altuve kept his pace going during the playoffs as Houston dispatched the Boston Red Sox in four games of the ALDS and edged the New York Yankees in a hard-fought seven-game ALCS series.

In winning the American League, the Astros became the first ever franchise to represent both the American and National League in the World Series as their previous World Series appearance was in 2005 when they were a member of the National League. Altuve and the Astros outlasted the Los Angeles Dodgers in seven games.

The right sleeve has a vinyl “2017 WS” patch, while the left sleeve has the “HOUSTON ASTROS” circular logo patch, which is above the Majestic logo embroidered in navy. This jersey displays light use and comes with a MLB Authenticated hologram (JD371831), authenticating that his jersey was worn by Altuve during Game 4 of the 2017 World Series.
