Ever since making his debut with the Los Angeles Angels in 2011, Mike Trout has proven himself time and time again as the best player in baseball. A two-time American League MVP by the age of 25, Trout is the kind of meteoric star that only comes around once in a generation. Trout wore the offered road jersey during the 2017 MLB season for an incredible 13 games. Trout, despite a thumb injury that limited the New Jersey native to 114 games, hit .306 with 33 homers, 72 RBI, and 22 stolen bases for the Angels. Trout made his sixth consecutive All-Star Game in 2017 and finished in the top-five of American League MVP voting despite his injury.

Trout’s first game in this jersey came during the Angels 7-6 victory over the Oakland A’s on April 4, 2017. Trout hit an RBI triple in this contest, the Angels second game of the year. He wore this jersey next on April 28th, during the Angels 6-3 victory against the Texas Rangers. Trout finished 3-4 with a two-run homer and two runs scored. This was Trout’s seventh home run of the year, and the 175th of his career. Trout wore this jersey again the following two days, first during a 6-3 loss to the Rangers on April 29th. He hit an RBI double in the fourth inning against Yu Darvish to open the scoring. Trout finished the game 2-3 with an RBI and a run scored. On April 30th, Trout helped lead the Angels to a 5-2 victory over the Rangers, finishing 1-3 with two walks.

His next game in this jersey came on May 2nd, during a 6-4 victory over the Seattle Mariners in 11 innings. Trout drew three walks in this game and scored the go-ahead run in the top of the 11th after Albert Pujols doubled to deep right field. Trout’s next outing in this jersey came on May 21st, during a 12-5 romp over the New York Mets. Trout went 2-3 with three RBI, hitting his 14th home run of the season in the second inning against Tommy Milone.

Trout wore this jersey again on May 22nd and 23rd, during the first two games of a four-game series against the Tampa Bay Rays. On the 22nd, Trout walked twice as the Angels eked out a close 3-2 victory over Jake Odorizzi and the Rays. During the game on May 23rd, Trout hit his 15th home run of the season to lead the Angels to a 4-0 shutout of the Rays. Trout, out for much of June and July, next wore this jersey on August 10th, when he hit a three-run double in the top of the ninth inning to defeat the Seattle Mariners 6-3. Trout also wore this jersey on August 18th and 19th against the Baltimore Orioles. On the 18th, Trout hit a two-run homer, his 24th of the year, in a 9-7 defeat to the Orioles. The next day Trout connected on two home runs, the 193rd and 194th of his career, during the Angels 5-1 win at Camden Yards. His final two games in this jersey, on September 1st and 3rd, saw Trout finish a combined 4-8 with four runs and three walks in two close defeats.

In total, Trout went 20-48 with six home runs and 15 RBI while wearing this jersey for 13 games. The Angels won nine of these games, ending the year with a second-place finish in the American League West. This gray road jersey has “ANGELS” sewn across the chest in red, navy, and white tackle twill. Trout’s number “27” is sewn on the chest and back in red and navy tackle twill. “TROUT” is sewn across the back shoulders in red and navy tackle twill below a ChromaFlex MLB logo patch. A circular Angels patch is sewn on the left sleeve, and an Angels “A” patch is sewn on the right sleeve. A memorial patch for Don Baylor is sewn on the left chest of this button-down jersey. The collar and the sleeves are accented with red piping. The sides and back tail of this FlexBase jersey are made of a gray mesh fabric. A Majestic size “48” tag is applied to the front left tail. This jersey has been photo matched to the 13 games by Resolution Photomatching (425525).
