What can one say about Mike Trout? Ever since breaking into the majors with his Rookie of the Year 2012 season, Trout his won two MVP Awards (runner-up for 4 more), claimed six Silver Sluggers and played on seven All-Star teams. Not only is he the most dangerous batter in the AL, he’s also a gifted base runner and tremendous outfielder as well. In 2018, his 7th full season in the majors, Trout hit .312 with 39 home runs, finishing 2nd in the MVP voting. This bat was used by Trout during a three-game stretch against the Mariners at Seattle’s T-Mobile Park. What’s more significant is that Trout didn’t just use this bat during that trio of games – he used it to club a Ruthian four home runs – each one indisputably photo-matched by Resolution Photomatching.

The bat was first used during the June 12th game during which the Angels superstar went 2-for-3 with a pair of home runs. The next night Trout repeated his slugging exhibition by going 3-for-5 and slugging another pair at the expense of Mariners pitching. Trout wrapped up this productive trip to Seattle by going 2-for-3 in the final game. That’s a .636 average with four home runs, one double, three walks and six runs batted in. And this is the bat he used to do it.

This Old Hickory MT27* model bat shows outstanding game use. The barrel is covered by ball marks with stitch impressions, no doubt some of these being the four home runs hit with this stick. The lower handle has been wrapped with blue tape, the minor details of which were one of the clues used to pinpoint this bat as the one used during the 4-home, 3-game stretch. The upper handle has a moderate coat of pine tar and the slugger has signed the barrel in silver pen, adding “4 HR vs Sea. HR #20+21 6-11 HR #22+23 6-12.” A truly outstanding signed and inscribed bat, complete with everything a collector could desire on a Mike Trout gamer. The bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B17133) for the game use and has been graded a near-perfect GU 9.5, plus a LOA from Anderson Authentics (3591) for the game use and signature. This bat has also been photo matched by Resolution Photomatching to the June 11-13 games in which he hit four home runs.
