Mookie Betts outstanding 2018 season saw the outfielder win the American League batting title with a .346 average, while also leading the AL in slugging percentage (.640) and runs scored (129) as he led the Boston Red Sox to a franchise record 108 wins, their fourth World Series title in 14 years and was named American League MVP. Betts garnered 28 of the 30 first place votes to earn his first league MVP.

By the end of June, Betts and the Red Sox were already in high gear, which was displayed during the June 30th game at Yankee Stadium.
