Drafted in the fourth round of the 1985 NFL Draft out of Kutztown University in Pennsylvania, wide receiver Andre Reed proved to be quite a find for the Buffalo Bills. Reed would be a key offensive weapon in the Bills’ dynamic offense that led them to four straight Super Bowl appearances and his 951 receptions, 13,198 receiving yards and 87 touchdowns earned Reed a spot in the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio.

Reed wore this red Buffalo Bills helmet during his long NFL career, which included 15 seasons with the Bills and has been photo matched to an undated image beleived to have been taken in 1999. This helmet has the blue Bills’ logo decal applied to both sides with white and blue stripes bisecting the middle of the crown. The facemask is white and the chinstrap is still intact. The back of the helmet has Reed’s number “83” in white numbers on a red decal and the NFL shield decal to the left of the center stripes. The padding on the inside helmet is still intact and this helmet displays outstanding game use with numerous abrasions and scuff marks. This helmet comes directly from Andre Reed himself and LOA from Andre Reed will accompany this item. There is also a LOA from Resolution Photomatching, who have photo matched this helmet to an undated image believed to be from 1999.
